Welcome:  President Jacki opened today’s meeting. 
Lunch:  Coffee, Caesar salad, pizza, beef and ice cream sundaes for desert.
Prayer:  Past President Bill started us off with a prayer
Rotary Moment:  Matthew Schroeder talked about his drive by at the Library and seeing the chess tables being used.  Barry Kaplan ordered dinner from our past guest speaker, Tony Bettencourt. BestLife mealprep.  Said the food was healthy and delicious.
Visiting Rotarians:  No Visitors
Announcements:
  • Rotoplast – Gary reminded us that Rotary International is still looking for volunteers to help with the Rotoplast mission.
  • Evening Meeting – Matt Schroeder reminded us that we will have a evening Rotary meeting on September 12 at the Berry Tavern at 6:30PM.  President Jacki is looking into a District Mini Grant that may be used to help pay for guests.
  • Farmers Market – Is doing well.  Every week something new.
  • Raffles – Gary reported that Don Desmond and Jackie are organizing a couple of Rotary Raffle Fundraisers.  One may be a trip to Italy.
GUEST SPEAKER – Michael Shannon
Bill introduced Eagle Scout, Michael Shannon today.  Michael is a senior at Danvers High School and also plays football.  He is working on his community service project that goes towards his Eagle Scout merit badge.  The project involves raising money, organizing volunteers and creating a project that will make a difference within the Danvers community.  Michael’s project is removable handmade baseball bat racks for the Danvers American Baseball League.  There will be 6 in total and will keep the dugout neat and organized.  Monihan Lumber donated the wood and Michael recruited a number of volunteers including fellow Boy Scouts to help make this happen.
Sheriff’s Report.  Sheriff Matthew Schroeder.  This week Matt collected a total of $100
